Protests on Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi are continuing, with activists blocking the road and restricting traffic movement.
For nearly three weeks, citizens have been organizing demonstrations with the same core demands: the expedited restoration of relations with the European Union, the scheduling of new elections, and the release of individuals detained during previous protests.
Throughout the day, protests were held in various locations, but by the evening, demonstrators marched to the Parliament building. Today’s protests saw increased participation from students, professors, and historians from Tbilisi State University (TSU), showing solidarity with the cause.
The protests reflect growing public frustration over the current political situation, with calls for greater alignment with the EU and fairer democratic processes and new elections.
