Ruling Georgian Dream party Executive Secretary Mamuka Mdinaradze responded sharply to the Sunday’s Georgia Chooses the EU march, organized by non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and opposition parties. According to Mdinaradze, despite considerable effort, the opposition has already lost the upcoming October 26 elections.
“They brought people from all over Georgia, with four parties and the entire wealthy NGO sector organizing the event, yet they ended up in a desperate situation. If they had held the rally on Rustaveli Avenue, they could have shown a bit more. But the truth is, they lost the election a week before the actual voting,” Mdinaradze remarked.
He continued by emphasizing that no other political group had ever faced such a situation before, stating that the opposition’s efforts have ended in failure despite their significant organizational support.
