The Ukrainian Air Force Command has reported that Russia used an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) in an early morning attack on critical infrastructure and enterprises in the city of Dnipro.
According to information released after 11:00 a.m. local time, the Russian offensive included multiple types of missiles. An ICBM was launched from Russia’s Astrakhan region, while an aeroballistic “Kinzhal” missile was fired from a MiG-31K fighter jet in the Tambov region. Additionally, seven X-101 cruise missiles were launched from a Tu-95MS bomber in the Volgograd region.
Ukrainian air defenses successfully intercepted six cruise missiles during the assault. However, damage was reported in several areas.
The Dnipro City Hall confirmed that a medical and rehabilitation center sustained damage. Meanwhile, the Dnipropetrovsk District Military Administration noted that a local enterprise was struck, causing two fires.
Authorities are still assessing the full extent of the damage and any casualties.
