Russian forces have carried out a fresh wave of drone attacks on Ukraine, injuring at least 12 people and causing widespread damage in the cities of Kyiv and Mykolaiv.
Ukrainian officials reported on Thursday the assault had begun in the early hours, with multiple residential and administrative buildings struck by falling debris and blast waves.
In the southern city of Mykolaiv, the regional military administration said the attack started around 03:00 local time. Nine apartment blocks and one administrative building were damaged. Ten people were reported injured.
Meanwhile in the capital, Kyiv, at least two people were wounded in separate incidents. A private home in the Darnitsky district was destroyed, and a fire broke out at a warehouse in the Holosiivskyi district, according to the city’s military administration.
Emergency services were deployed to the affected areas as authorities assessed the full extent of the damage.
