Imprisoned former president Mikheil Saakashvili says that his health is deliberately damaged by the current Georgian Dream authorities.
Speaking at a trial hearing in one of his cases in Tbilisi City Court earlier today, Saakashvili claimed that he has no access to necessary medical service which may lead to physical disability.
He reiterated that he abandoned a comfortable life and returned to Georgia after eight years in political exile ‘to save the country from the Georgian Dream authorities.’
The trial hearing was held on November 7, 2007 opposition rally dispersal case in Tbilisi in which Saakashvili was charged with abuse of power.
The former president says that all charges against him are politically grounded, the allegation which is strongly dismissed by the current government.
