Tbilisi Mayor Kaha Kaladze has commented on the recent incident involving opposition politician Giorgi Gakharia in Batumi, calling it “very bad” and attributing it to a trend of provocations and deliberate insults by radicals.
“It’s very bad what happened. Everyone saw it. We have witnessed several provocations over the past few days. This is a trend from the radicals, with intentional insults aimed at individuals. This fascism must be stopped,” Kaladze said in a conversation with journalists.
The mayor also dismissed opposition statements about the incident, claiming they were not true.
“The opposition talks about everything except the truth. They are not interested in the truth at all. This is their agenda, based solely on lies and falsifications. This is their policy and the content of the agenda they stand for, which is supported by a disillusioned, impoverished opposition,” Kaladze added.
