Tbilisi Mayor Kaladze: Georgian pro-Russian party visit in Russia “absolutely unacceptable”

Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze has condemned a visit of the Georgian pro-Russian Alliance of Patriots party in Russia, stating today that such visits “when there is a war in our friendly nation, is categorically unacceptable to me.”

Irma Inashvili, leader of Alliance of Patriots, who is currently holding meetings in Moscow along with her fellow members of the party, claims that Georgia should now speak with Russia about neutrality and peace, stating that the Ukrainian authorities are trying to drag the country into “its war” with Russia.

“What kind of neutrality are we talking about when there is a war in a friendly nation, when the country is facing such a disaster?!,” said Kaladze, who also  serves as the Secretary General of the Georgian Dream ruling party.

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24.
