Minister of Defense Irakli Gharibashvili met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Georgia Igor Dolgov. At the meeting, the sides discussed issues of defense and security cooperation between the two countries.
According to the Ministry of Defense, Irakli Gharibashvili, in a conversation with a Ukrainian diplomat, focused on the existing plans for a strategic partnership between the two countries. The sides also discussed security issues in the Black Sea region.
According to the Minister of Defense, cooperation between Georgia and Ukraine in bilateral and multilateral formats is important in this direction. Irakli Gharibashvili and Igor Dolgov also discussed various issues of military cooperation between the two countries, including the importance of the participation of Ukrainian servicemen in international exercises planned in Georgia, military education, as well as continued cooperation in the rehabilitation of wounded servicemen.
