Trump claims Russia would have taken all of Ukraine without him

]US President Donald Trump has claimed that Russia would have taken control of all of Ukraine if he had not intervened. Speaking to reporters, Trump compared Russia’s territorial advances under previous administrations, arguing that Moscow gained ground under Presidents George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden, but not under his leadership.

“But if you think about it, under President Bush, they took Georgia, right? Russia took Georgia. Under President Obama, they took a nice, big submarine base. A big piece of land where they have their submarines—Crimea. Under President Trump, they got nothing. Under President Biden, they tried to take all of Ukraine. If I hadn’t come here, they would have taken all of it,” Trump said.

He suggested that Russia is open to negotiations and that the Ukrainian people also desire a resolution to the conflict, stating, “I believe that Russia wants to make a deal, and I am sure the Ukrainian people also want to make a deal because they have suffered more than anyone else.”

Trump further emphasized his administration’s support for Ukraine, highlighting the provision of Javelin anti-tank missiles and sanctions on Russia.

“So all I can say is, you can go back to Bush, Obama, and Biden. They took a lot. The only thing they didn’t take—what did I give them? I gave them anti-tank missiles. I gave them sanctions on Russia. I gave them Javelins,” he added.
