Two Georgian volunteer fighters have been killed in Ukraine, according to reports from Georgian fighters on the battlefield.
Vano Nadiradze, a Georgian fighter in Ukraine, confirmed the deaths of Davit Dvalishvili and Mamuka Beria in a social media post, stating that efforts were made overnight to retrieve their bodies from the front line.
“They did everything to bring them back from the front line last night. Glory to the heroes who fell in battle,” Nadiradze wrote.
The Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also confirmed the news to the media, stating that all necessary procedures will be carried out regarding the deceased.
Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine began in February 2022, with many Georgian volunteers joining the fight against Russian forces.
