Ukrainian defence minister Oleksii Reznikov said on Monday that Kyiv was open to any monitoring missions amid Russia’s recent allegations that the Ukrainian authorities had plans to use “dirty bombs” on its own territory, calling the allegations Russia’s “nuclear blackmail”.
“I responded to all Russian fake allegations. This is an act of Russia’s nuclear blackmail.
I want to repeat: Ukraine is open for any monitoring mission”, said the Ukrainian official.
On October 23, Russia’s defence minister held telephone conversations with his colleagues from France, Turkey, Great Britain and the United States of America and talked about the alleged preparation of “provocations” by Ukraine using a “dirty bomb”.
Shoigu failed to convince the United States of America, Great Britain and France – they released a joint statement today denying Russia’s “false accusations”
