Ukraine’s Ambassador to Georgia Igor Dolgov has made a speech earlier today dedicated to Ukraine’s Day of Unity, stating that ‘we were able to gather today, we are not at war today as we stand together.”
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Davit Zalkaliani and the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Archil Talakvadze were present at the embassy to mark this day.
Dolgov thanked the government of Georgia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Georgia in Kyiv, the ambassador and all diplomats “as they are there, where they are needed.”
Dolgov said that two days ago the President of Ukraine decided to declare February 16 as the Day of Unity of Ukraine ‘and this is not only the unity of Ukrainians, but also their unity with brothers, friends and dear Georgian people.’
Dolgov stated that any aggression and threats should be resisted with unity.
