Ukrainian forces advance in Kursk region, Zelenskyy

Ukrainian military forces have made significant advances in Russia’s Kursk region, gaining control over additional territory, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Monday.

“We have advanced from one to three kilometers in the Kursk district and have established control over two more settlements,” Zelenskyy said.

Zelenskyy also reported that Russian forces had launched attacks on the Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Donetsk regions on Sunday. He further addressed the missile strike on a hotel in Kramatorsk, where a Reuters news agency crew was staying.

“Ukraine, American, and British citizens were among those affected. A typical city hotel was deliberately targeted and destroyed by a Russian ‘Iskander’ missile. The strike resulted in seven injuries and one death,” Zelenskyy said.
