The Armed Forces of Ukraine targeted the command post of Russia’s 810th Separate Marine Brigade in the Kursk region’s Lgov village, causing reported losses among Russian officers, according to the Ukrainian Armed Forces Strategic Communications.
In a statement, Ukrainian StratCom confirmed the strike, stating, “Last night, the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck the command post of the 810th Separate Marine Corps, which was stationed in an abandoned civilian building in Lgov. This attack is part of a broader campaign aimed at disrupting the Russian military’s coordination against Ukraine.”
Andrii Kovalenko, head of Ukraine’s Center for Countering Disinformation, further reported that Russia suffered officer casualties during the operation.
While Ukrainian officials emphasized the precision of the strike, local Russian Telegram channels and media, including Meduza, citing acting Kursk region governor Alexander Khinstein, reported that four people were killed in the attack. One outlet, Novosti Rylsk, noted, “No details yet. But the consequences are severe.”
