Ana Tsitlidze, a member of the United National Movement (UNM), has accused ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party members of attacking her and her team during an election campaign event in Zugdidi.
Tsitlidze claims that approximately 50 people attempted to physically assault her group while they were distributing campaign materials in a settlement for internally displaced persons.
“While conducting our election campaign and handing out leaflets and flyers in the settlement, we were attacked by members of Georgian Dream. One of the attackers was Teona Kardava, who has been used by Georgian Dream for such provocations over the past 12 years. This is the same person who participated in the raids on UNM offices in previous years. Around 50 people attacked us, and they even tried to beat us,” Tsitlidze stated.
