The United States is preparing to announce another military aid package for Ukraine in the coming days, according to John Kirby, Strategic Communications Coordinator for the National Security Council.
Kirby did not specify the exact timing or details of the new package, including the types of weapons Ukraine’s defenders would receive.
The US has been increasing the frequency of military aid announcements for Ukraine, a move motivated by the upcoming inauguration of Donald Trump on January 20. The Biden administration aims to utilize all allocated funds for Ukraine before this date.
On December 30, President Joe Biden sent approximately $2.5 billion in military assistance to Ukraine, underscoring continued US support.
