White House on Putin’s Threats: We Have Thick Skin

Joe Biden's administration does not take personally the aggressive statements of Vladimir Putin on April 21, in which he threatened countries for crossing the "red line" of Russia.
This was discussed at a briefing by the press secretary of the White House Jen Psaki.
“I don’t think we personally take what President Putin has said. We have thick skin,” she replied.
Psaki was also asked if Washington considers the recently imposed sanctions against Russia to be effective, given the new protests of Navalny's supporters and the buildup of troops near the border with Ukraine. To which the spokeswoman said that the White House adheres to the position: actions must have consequences.
“We never expect or foresee that this or that set of sanctions will change behavior, but it sends a clear signal that this behavior is unacceptable, that it cannot be continued,” said Psaki.
