Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with former US President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump at Trump Tower in New York on Friday.
“It’s an honor to have the president with us; he has been through a lot,” Trump remarked during the meeting.
Zelensky emphasized that both he and Trump share the common belief that the war in Ukraine must come to an end.
Additionally, Trump boasted about having a “good relationship” with Russian President Vladimir Putin, suggesting that this connection could assist in facilitating an end to the war in Ukraine.
In response, Zelensky expressed hope that Trump would have a better relationship with him than with Putin.
