Zelenskyy open to meeting Putin after coordinating with Trump and Europe

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has expressed willingness to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, but only after Ukraine develops a joint plan with US President Donald Trump and European allies.

Speaking at the Munich Security Conference, Zelenskyy addressed concerns about misinformation and unity in global politics.

“There may be some elements of disinformation, possibly pushed or facilitated by Russia. Such things can destroy unity. For instance, Saudi Arabia—yes, I will visit the United Arab Emirates; I have planned visits and important dialogue. We have our own agenda,” Zelenskyy explained.

He highlighted that this country has played a role in helping Ukraine return children taken from Russia.

“I will not meet with Russian representatives—that is not part of my plans. I will only meet with one Russian—Putin—only after we have a joint plan with Trump and Europe. We will sit down with Putin and end the war. Only in this case am I ready for a meeting,” the Ukrainian president stated.
