Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili says that the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is a good example on how to take cautious steps not to be provoked, She has stated that Zelensky has ensured the mobilization of the international community to prevent a war.
In her previous comments the Georgian president said that the United National Movement government and former president Mikheil Saakashvili failed to act reasonably and were provoked by Russia which led to the Russia-Georgia 2008 war and the recognition of Georgian Abkhazia and Tskhinvali regions as independent republics by Russia.
Amid the tension over Ukraine Russia also recognized Ukraine’s Donetsk and Luhansk regions as independent states which has been strongly condemned by the international community and resulted in sanctions against Russia.
