Georgia reports 12,338 Covid cases in one week

Georgia reported 12,338 coronavirus cases between August 7 to August 14, with the virus killing six patients. 

12,766 people have recovered from the virus in the reported period. 

 

74,398 individuals were tested for the virus in one week. 

 

Georgia has confirmed 1,710,749 cases of coronavirus since February 2020.

 

The virus has claimed 16,877 lives since April 2020. 

 

Georgia lifted all coronavirus restrictions earlier this year. 

 

The Georgian health authorities said that those individuals who had not contracted the virus earlier, were more vulnerable to new strains, encouraging them to get the Covid shot.
