Georgia fulfilled “much more” than recommendations EU Commision presented to Ukraine, Moldova

Irakli Chikovani, an MP of the ruling Georgian Dream patty, on Monday told Imedi TV Georgia fulfilled “much more” than the recommendations the European Commision had  presented to Ukraine and Moldova following granting theM the candidate status and Georgia only European perspective last year.

“In our estimation, we have fulfilled much more than the recommendations that the commission presented to our partners at the time, despite the fact they have already been granted candidate status”, he said.

He also said the Georgian government had done “its utmost” to meet the 12 conditions outlined by the bloc to grant Tbilisi candidate status later this year.

"Everyone can clearly see that Georgia has made great progress here and has better results compared to other states. Therefore, the opposition representatives do not want to detract from this process. I want to clarify that the opposition political forces did not actually participate in the working process”, said the MP.
