Georgian PM reaffirms commitment to regional stability in joint briefing with Armenian counterpart

During a joint briefing with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze of Georgia on Monday reiterated Tbilisi’s commitment to fostering peace and stability in the South Caucasus region.


Expressing optimism for progress in the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Kobakhidze emphasized the importance of sustaining positive momentum towards the deal. 


Kobakhidze also extended a formal invitation to Pashinyan for an official visit to Georgia, underscoring the significance of high-level exchanges in enhancing bilateral relations.


Reaffirming Georgia's “unwavering support” for Armenia's territorial integrity and sovereignty, Kobakhidze emphasized solidarity with Armenia on critical regional matters.


Touching upon various facets of cooperation, including political collaboration, trade, economy, transport, and tourism, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of further advancing partnership between the two nations.
