Ruling party tallied supporters through assessment of intelligence - PM

The Georgian Dream ruling party had tallied its supporters through an assessment of intelligence, according to Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze in an open letter to “sincere young people”on Friday.

In the letter, Kobakhidze mentioned an "interesting study" conducted recently, although the entity responsible for the research was not specified. According to him, in order to gauge the sentiments of supporters, their intelligence was assessed.

"We queried what proportion of voters aligned with GD based on their intelligence levels. We categorized respondents into groups of high, medium, and low intelligence based on IQ tests. According to our findings, 61.3 percent of voters supported the GD in March.

Furthermore, among voters with high intelligence, our support stood at 73.8 percent, while among those with average intelligence, it was only 45.6 percent," Kobakhidze stated. However, the percentage of support from low-intelligence voters was not disclosed.

The PM concluded that "the most perilous scenario for the state is the prevalence of individuals with average intelligence and knowledge”, a notion supported by the Dunning-Kruger theory and added the theory posited that individuals with average intelligence and knowledge exhibited the highest level of self-assurance.
