Ukraine says Russian military death toll reaches 1.14mln since invasion began

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Sunday reported Russia’s total combat losses in Ukraine had reached about 1,143,670 troops, killed or wounded, since the start of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022.

The figure rose by 940 in the past 24 hours, the body added.

According to Ukraine’s military, Russia’s cumulative losses as of November 2, 2025, also include:

  • Tanks: 11,316

  • Armored vehicles: 23,525 (+4)

  • Artillery systems: 34,162 (+25)

  • Multiple rocket launchers: 1,534

  • Air defense systems: 1,235

  • Aircraft: 428

  • Helicopters: 346

  • Tactical drones: 77,052 (+348)

  • Cruise missiles: 3,917

  • Boats/ships: 28

  • Submarines: 1

  • Vehicles and fuel tanks: 66,290 (+121)

  • Special equipment: 3,987
