10,687 pregnant women and 159,977 minors have contracted coronavirus in Georgia since the outbreak of the virus in February 2020, a report by the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says. 

Head of NCDC Amiran Gamkrelidze has stated that 70 percent of the adult population should receive the coronavirus vaccine by July for the country to end the pandemic. 

According to recent polls, about 40 percent of the country’s adult population is against vaccination. 

Georgia has reported 23,664 new cases of coronavirus and 42 deaths in the past 24 hours. 

Omicron has accounted for the majority of new infections. 

1,224,149 individuals have been fully vaccinated in Georgia since March 2021, more than 40 percent of the country’s adult population.
