Ukraine reports over 1 mln Russian casualties since invasion, more than 1,000 in past day

Russia has lost about 1,069,050 troops in Ukraine since the start of its full-scale invasion in February 2022, including 1,010 soldiers killed or wounded in the past 24 hours, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Saturday.
In its daily update, published on Facebook and cited by Ukrinform, the Ukrainian military detailed Russia’s battlefield losses across personnel and equipment.
According to the General Staff, since February 24, 2022, Ukraine’s defense forces have destroyed 11,112 (+6) Russian tanks, 23,135 (+2) armored fighting vehicles, 31,540 (+42) artillery systems, 1,467 (+1) multiple rocket launchers, 1,207 anti-aircraft warfare systems, and 3,558 cruise missiles.
The Russian army has also lost 422 (+1) warplanes, 340 helicopters, 51,342 (+152) tactical unmanned aerial systems, 28 warships/cutters, one submarine, 58,733 (+137) vehicles and fuel trucks, and 3,942 (+2) pieces of special equipment.
