Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze is set to arrive in Hungary on Wednesday for a two-day official visit “aimed at strengthening bilateral relations” between the two countries, the Government administration announced on Tuesday.

An official welcoming ceremony will take place at the Hungarian Prime Minister’s Palace, where Kobakhidze will be received by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. The two leaders are scheduled for a face-to-face meeting, followed by negotiations involving members of both governments.

The visit will also feature the second session of the Georgia-Hungary Intergovernmental Commission, during which a series of agreements are expected to be signed. These will cover cooperation in key sectors including agriculture, energy, culture, innovation, and sports.

Following the commission’s session, Kobakhidze and Orbán will hold a joint press conference to address the outcomes of the talks.

In addition to meetings with Prime Minister Orbán, Kobakhidze will engage in discussions with Hungarian President Tamás Šuyok and the Speaker of the National Assembly, László Kovár.
