13,495 medical personnel unvaccinated in Georgia

Out of 50,991 medical staff in Georgia, 37,496 doctors, nurses and paramedics are vaccinated, while 13,495 have not received the Covid jab so far. 

According to the recent polls by NDI, about 40 percent of the country’s population are against vaccination. 

The spread of Omicron strain of coronavirus has caused a rapid increase in daily infections, reaching around 20,000-24,000, while 203,238 remain infected. 

1,338,668 individuals have received at least one dose of the vaccine in Georgia since March 2021, while 1,225,278 have been completely vaccinated. 

Despite the severe surge in new infections, only more than 5,000 individuals are undergoing treatment in hopostals.
