135 killed, but this toll not final – Pashinyan

On the night of September 14, the armed forces of Azerbaijan carried out an aggression against the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia, and many representatives of the armed forces of the Republic of Armenia, soldiers selflessly sacrificed their lives for the defense of the motherland. We suggest that we honor the memory of all the dead with a moment of silence, – said Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at the beginning of the government session on Friday.

“To date, the number of our confirmed victims is 135, but unfortunately, we know that this number is not yet final. Many are wounded,” said Pashinyan.

 

The country’s defence minister suggested that the situation was “relatively calm” , following the recent escalation at the Armenia-Azerbaijan border.
