Ukraine reports about Russia’s military losses since start of war

As of January 5, 2024, Russia’s estimated military losses in Ukraine since the start of the war have reached approximately 796,490 personnel, an increase of 1,730 in the past day, according to reports from the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Cumulative combat losses of Russian forces from February 25, 2022, to January 5, 2024, include 9,686 tanks (an increase of 7), 20,119 armored vehicles (an increase of 26), and 21,603 artillery systems (an increase of 25). The number of multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) remains at 1,257, while air defense systems total 1,032 with no changes. Aircraft and helicopter losses stand at 369 and 331, respectively, with no recent updates.

Operational-tactical drones lost by Russia amount to 21,447, reflecting an increase of 91. The number of cruise missiles destroyed remains at 3,006. Naval losses include 28 high-speed boats or ships, with no change, and one submarine.
