Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to Georgia on 2 July, marking the first visit to the country by a head of state from Uzbekistan.
According to the Georgian Presidential Administration, an official welcoming ceremony will be held at the Presidential Palace at 6 p.m. local time.
As part of the visit, Mirziyoyev will hold a one-on-one meeting with Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili. The two leaders are expected to discuss prospects for deepening bilateral cooperation and exchange views on regional issues.
Following the high-level talks, the Uzbek President will participate in an official ceremony to sign the Presidential Palace's Book of Honour, leaving a commemorative message to mark the historic visit.
