World Rugby has officially announced that Georgia will host the 2026 World Rugby U20 Championship. The tournament will be held in the cities of Tbilisi and Kutaisi, marking the second time Georgia has welcomed this prestigious event — the first being in 2017.

The 2026 championship will be especially significant as the number of participating teams will increase from 11 to 16, giving fans in Georgia an extraordinary opportunity to witness the sport’s rising stars in action.

Next year’s tournament will include the 11 teams currently competing alongside Georgia in the ongoing U20 Championship in Italy: South Africa, France, New Zealand, England, Argentina, Australia, Wales, Italy, Ireland, Scotland, and Spain. They will be joined by Fiji, USA, Japan, and Uruguay, who qualified through the previous year's Trophy tournament.

Organizers and fans alike are eagerly anticipating the 2026 championship. The decade-long partnership between TBC and Georgian Rugby continues to flourish, with both parties committed to creating an unforgettable experience for visiting teams and supporters.

As a proud supporter of the new generation, TBC emphasizes the importance of this event as a unique chance for young Georgian players to showcase their talent on the international stage and achieve new milestones in their careers.
