23-year-old woman arrested for disseminating intimate photos of ex-husband’s sister

The Special Investigation Service on Wednesday announced it had uncovered a case involving a 23-year-old woman who allegedly disseminated intimate photos of her ex-husband’s sister to her relatives, “motivated by a desire for revenge and tarnishing her reputation”, facing up to seven years in prison. 

According to the investigation, the ex-daughter-in-law engaged with the victim through a fictitious Instagram account, masquerading as a man, and deceitfully obtained and retained explicit photos and videos of the victim’s body.

The Special Investigation Service said, “through deceptive means, the accused unlawfully acquired and retained sensitive photo and video material portraying the victim’s private life, subsequently distributing it to the victim’s relatives with malicious intent to defame her.”
