240-meter-long glass bridge built over Georgia’s Tsalka canyon

For the first time in Georgia, a unique 240-meter-long glass bridge was built over  the protected area of ​​Tsalka Canyon in eastern Georgia, with accompanying ecotourism trails and a visitor center.

 

Hotels and other tourist infrastructure were also built in the surrounding area, the Government of Georgia reported on Wednesday.

 

The cost of the project was 120, 000,000 GEL.

 

It should be noted that the staff of Tsalka Canyon is fully staffed by locals.

 

More than 250 locals were trained and employed within the project.
