A 27-year-old has been arrested after killing a 14-year-old in forced marriage last week, the Georgian Interior Ministry said on Tuesday.

The suspect was on Monday charged in absentia for murder and illegal possession of firearms, facing 15 to 20 years in prison of life imprisonment.

The mother of the killed minor claimed the man abducted her daughter two months ago and was threatening the whole family if they took certain actions against him or notified the police.
