Russia loses over 1,270 soldiers, 30 artillery systems, and 80 drones in a day in Ukraine

The General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces has published updated information on Russia’s combat losses since the start of the war. As of September 8, 2024, Russia has lost approximately 625,260 (+1,270) soldiers in Ukraine.
The total estimated combat losses of Russian forces in Ukraine from February 25, 2022, to September 8, 2024, are as follows:
• Tanks: 8,636 (+4)
• Armored vehicles: 16,897 (+19)
• Artillery systems: 17,804 (+30)
• Multiple rocket launch systems: 1,180 (+2)
• Air defense systems: 942
• Aircraft: 368
• Helicopters: 328
• Operational-tactical level drones: 14,864 (+80)
• Cruise missiles: 2,588
• Fast-speed boats/ships: 28
• Submarines: 1
• Motor vehicles and fuel tanks: 24,218 (+47)
• Special equipment: 3,047 (+10)
