Russia loses over 1,000 troops, 32 artillery systems and 847 drones in single day in Ukraine

Russia has suffered heavy new losses in Ukraine over the past 24 hours, with more than 1,000 troops, dozens of artillery systems and hundreds of drones reported destroyed, according to Ukraine’s military.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Sunday said Russia’s total personnel losses since the start of the full-scale invasion have reached approximately 1,234,040, including 1,020 casualties in the past day alone.

According to the Ukrainian military, Russia’s estimated total combat losses between February 25, 2022 and January 25, 2026 include:

  • Tanks: 11,605 (+2 in the past day)

  • Armoured combat vehicles: 23,950 (+1)

  • Artillery systems: 36,612 (+32)

  • Multiple launch rocket systems: 1,624 (+1)

  • Air defence systems: 1,286 (+3)

  • Aircraft: 434 (+0)

  • Helicopters: 347 (+0)

  • Operational-tactical drones: 114,896 (+847)

  • Cruise missiles: 4,205 (+15)

  • Fast attack boats/ships: 28 (+0)

  • Submarines: 2 (+0)

  • Motor vehicles and fuel tankers: 75,759 (+115)

  • Special equipment: 4,050 (+0)
