4,216 new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Georgia

According to the information published on Stopcov.ge, within the intensive testing, 45 351 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 26 470 tests with antigen tests and 18 881 PCR tests. As a result of the testing, 4 216 newly confirmed cases of virus infection were detected in the last 24 hours.

 

The total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country is 444 569.As for the positive rate, as of August 6, the daily rate of positive is 9.3%, for the last 14 days – 8.33% and for 7 days – 9.25%. In the last 24 hours, 1 735 people have recovered from the virus, bringing the total to 397 240.

 

 There have been 38 new deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours. A total of 6 054 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread. 

 

Out of 4 216 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 1 889 cases were detected in Tbilisi, Adjara – 620, Imereti – 464, Kvemo Kartli – 217, Shida Kartli – 195, Guria – 92, Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti – 265, Kakheti – 273, Mtskheta- Mtianeti -106, Samtskhe-Javakheti – 66, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 29.
