422 new cases of coronavirus were detected in Georgia, 158 people recovered

According to the information published on Stopcov.ge, within the intensive testing, 23,169 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 13,915 tests with antigen tests and 9,254 PCR tests.

As a result of the testing, 422 newly confirmed cases of virus infection were detected in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases detected since the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country is 277,218.

As for the positive rate, as of March 19, the daily rate of positive is 1.82%, for the last 14 days – 1.52%, and for 7 days – 1.49%.

In the last 24 hours, 158 people have recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of people recovered to 269,784.

There have been 8 new deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours. A total of 3,691 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.

Out of 422 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 216 cases were detected in Tbilisi, Adjara – 29, Imereti – 71, Kvemo Kartli – 22, Shida Kartli – 22, Guria – 20, Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti – 22, Kakheti – 10, Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 3, Samtskhe-Javakheti – 2, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 5.

Currently, there are 3,717 active cases of infection, of which: 1,423 people are treated in hospitals, including 730 in Tbilisi hospitals, 137 in Adjara, 273 in Imereti. At this stage, 276 people are seriously ill, including 1259 in Tbilisi and Adjara. 19, in Imereti – 73. There are 83 people on artificial respiration, of which 52 in Tbilisi, 4 in Adjara, 11 in Imereti. 168 people are accommodated in clinical hotels, including 126 in Tbilisi and 35 in Adjara. 2 126 people are undergoing treatment for the virus in a residential apartment.

235 people are placed in quarantine areas, including 84 in Tbilisi and 19 in Adjara.
A total of 23,727 people were transferred from the state border to quarantine areas from October 6 to March 19.

At this stage, 6,498 people are in self-isolation, including 3,201 in Tbilisi, 548 in Adjara and 897 in Imereti.
