5 352 new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Georgia

According to the information published on Stopcov.ge, within the intensive testing, 50 430 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 30 564 quick tests with  and 19 866 PCR tests. 

 

Testing revealed 5 352 newly confirmed cases of the virus in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases detected since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country is 461 198. 

 

As for the positive rate, as of August 10, the daily rate of positive is 10.61%, for the last 14 days – 9.33% and for 7 days – 10.27%. In the last 24 hours, 2,635 people recovered from the virus, and the total number of people recovered increased to 409 110. In the last 24 hours, 48 ​​new cases of coronavirus death have been reported.

 

A total of 6 230 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread. 

 

Out of 5,352 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 2,363 cases were detected in Tbilisi, Adjara – 905, Imereti – 564, Kvemo Kartli – 262, Shida Kartli – 285, Guria – 124, Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti – 281, Kakheti – 340, Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 134, Samtskhe-Javakheti – 70 , Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 24.
