5,985 fires recorded in Georgia in first half of 2024, 21 dead,122 injured

In the first and second quarters of this year, 5,985 fires were recorded across Georgia, according to statistics published by the National Statistics Office.

The fires claimed the lives of 21 people and left 122 others injured.

The report from the agency also indicated that 253 buildings were destroyed and 10 cattle were killed due to the fires.
