528 new cases of coronavirus were detected in Georgia, 299 people recovered

According to the information published on Stopcov.ge, within the intensive testing, 20,903 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 14,296 tests with antigen tests and 6,607 PCR tests.

As a result of the testing, 528 newly confirmed cases of virus infection were detected in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases detected since the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country is 278,178.

As for the positive rate, as of March 22, the daily rate of positive is 2.53%, for the last 14 days – 1.61%, and for 7 days – 1.82%.

In the last 24 hours, 299 people recovered from the virus, and the total number of people recovered increased to 270,668.

There have been 4 new deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours. A total of 3,714 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.

Out of 528 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 265 cases were detected in Tbilisi, Adjara – 42, Imereti – 84, Kvemo Kartli – 31, Shida Kartli – 20, Guria – 19, Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti – 26, Kakheti – 17, Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 13, Samtskhe-Javakheti – 2, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 9.

At this stage, there are 3,770 active cases of infection, of which: 1,467 people are treated in hospitals, including 728 in Tbilisi hospitals, 155 in Adjara, 276 in Imereti. 24, in Imereti – 70. There are 80 people on artificial respiration, 51 of them in Tbilisi, 3 in Adjara, 12 in Imereti – 179 people are accommodated in clinical hotels, including 135 in Tbilisi and 35 in Adjara. 2 124 people are undergoing a course of treatment for the virus in a residential apartment.

203 people are placed in quarantine areas, including 88 in Tbilisi and 15 in Adjara.

A total of 23,794 people were transferred from the state border to quarantine areas from October 6 to March 22.

At this stage, 6,660 people are in self-isolation, including 3,211 in Tbilisi, 636 in Adjara and 935 in Imereti.
