63,851 remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia

Georgia has reported 4,732 new cases of coronavirus of 50,707 tests, 4,912 recoveries and 72 deaths in the past 24 hours, while 63,851 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia as of today. 

The new cases for Tbilisi and regions are as follows: 

Tbilisi – 1,884 cases

Adjara – 136 cases

Imereti – 878 cases

Kvemo Kartli –295 cases

Shida Kartli – 425 cases

Guria – 110 cases

Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti – 408 cases

Kakheti – 285 cases

Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 112 cases

Samtskhe-Javakkheti – 158 cases

Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 41 cases

More than 6,000 Covid-19 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals, while others are at home due to a mild form of the virus. 

Georgian health officials say that the country needs at least 40,000 individuals to receive the coronavirus vaccine on a daily basis, instead of the current 7,000-8,000,  to curb the spread of the virus. 

971,578 individuals have been fully vaccinated in Georgia since March 2021.
