A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Solidarity Fund and the European University, established by the Prime Minister of Georgia.
The signing ceremony was held at the Government Administration and was signed by Ia Makatsaria, Head of the Solidarity Fund, and Tamar Zarginava, Vice-Rector of the European University.
The parties also discussed the details of the cooperation and agreed that a telethon with the support of the European University will be held on March 7 with the main goal of helping children and young people diagnosed with cancer.
Interested businesses and spectators will have several opportunities to get involved in charity: During the marathon, citizens will be able to transfer money to the "Solidarity Fund" by calling toll-free number – 0901121212, as well as by transferring the desired amount to the fund account.
The Georgian Solidarity Fund was established in 2014 at the initiative of Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili and by a decree of the Government of Georgia. The purpose of the Foundation's activities is to finance the treatment and diagnosis of children with cancer and young people under 22 years of age.
