Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had a telephone conversation today.
"The President of Georgia expressed concern over the situation on the Russian-Ukrainian border and in Crimea and expressed solidarity with Ukraine.
Salome Zurabishvili stressed the need for Ukraine to withstand provocations and noted that it is necessary to move in the only direction of our common security, which is Euro-Atlantic integration.
The Presidents of both countries stressed the importance of security on the Black Sea and the need to present joint goals of Georgia and Ukraine at the NATO-EU summit.
"The parties have agreed to use the forthcoming visit of the President of Georgia to Ukraine to work on these issues," the presidential administration said in a statement.
