Abandoned newborn found at Batumi’s main mosque

An abandoned newborn has been found in Georgia’s western coastal city of Batumi, near the main mosque, the Georgian Interior Ministry confirmed on Friday, noting the baby was found on Wednesday. 

The body said the baby had been transferred to the clinic, and his health was not at any risk. 

Police are looking into the incident.
