Vakhtang (Buba) Kikabidze, a prominent Georgian actor and singer who died on January 15 aged 84, will be buried in Tbilisi’s Vere cemetery on January 19, his family said on Monday.

Civil funerals will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, while on Thursday he will be taken out of Tbilisi grand concert hall.

Buba to his fans, Kikabidze wrote his controversial song – you disappointed me – during the Russia-Georgia 2008 conflict.

He said he had dedicated the song to the Russian intelligentsia, who had failed to express support for his homeland during the war.
