The Department of Strategic Communications of the Ministry of Internal Affairs releases a statement.

“We would like to respond to the video spread on the social network, where an employee of the Shida Kartli Main Division of the Patrol Police Department says that he is being forced to resign by his superiors.

On August 11 this year, the Gori Patrol Police interviewed the employee about his possible disciplinary misconduct and illegal activities, which caused dissatisfaction and irritation of the patrol inspector.

At this stage, Patrol Inspector Tamaz Jokhadze continues to perform his official duties. “As soon as the General Inspection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs completes its official investigation into the possible disciplinary misconduct by the patrol inspector, the results will be made known to the interested parties” – the statement reads.
