Officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Adjara Police Department have detained three individuals on charges of illegal purchase, possession, sale, and facilitation of the sale of large quantities of narcotics.

The suspects include a Georgian citizen, born in 1973, and two foreign nationals, born in 1993 and 2004. According to the ministry, the alleged crimes are punishable by up to 20 years in prison or life imprisonment.

During searches of the suspects’ personal belongings, temporary residences, and other locations, law enforcement seized large quantities of drugs prepared for distribution, including heroin, morphine, and dried marijuana, as well as materials used for packaging and cultivation. Police also confiscated narcotics that one of the suspects had allegedly sold illegally.
